Investment is the driving force behind India's economic transformation, acting as the third engine of growth alongside agriculture and MSMEs. This Budget focuses on building world-class infrastructure, empowering human capital, and fostering technological innovation. With massive capital infusion into education, healthcare, clean energy, digital economy, and R&D, the government aims to accelerate industrial expansion, generate employment, and position India as a global powerhouse. By leveraging public-private partnerships (PPP), financial incentives, and structural reforms, this vision lays the foundation for a self-reliant and globally competitive India, propelling us toward Viksit Bharat 2047.



A. Investing in People

1. Saksham Anganwadi & Poshan 2.0

Objective: Improve nutrition & early childhood care.

Key Features

👶8 crore children, 1 crore pregnant women & lactating mothers to benefit. 

🌍20 lakh adolescent girls in aspirational districts & the Northeast targeted. 

📈Enhanced funding for nutrition & quality improvements.


2. Expansion of Education & Digital Infrastructure

Objective: Ensure access to digital learning & quality education

Key Features

📡Broadband for Rural Schools & PHCs - Connectivity under BharatNet project. 

📚Bharatiya Bhasha Pustak Scheme - Digital Indian-language books for schools & colleges. 

🔬50,000 Atal Tinkering Labs in government schools over 5 years.


3. Higher Education & Skilling Reforms

Objective: Create a future-ready workforce for industrial growth. 

Key Features

🏫5 National Centres of Excellence for Skilling in partnership with global institutions. 

🎓IIT Expansion - Infrastructure development for 6,500 additional students. 

🤖Centre of Excellence in AI for Education - ₹500 crore allocated. 

📈Increase in medical education - 10,000 new UG & PG medical seats this year.


4. Urban Livelihood & Social Security

Objective: Empower gig workers, street vendors, & urban poor

Key Features

🏙Urban Worker Welfare Scheme - Skill training & employment programs. 

🛒PM SVANidhi Expansion - UPI-linked credit cards (₹30,000 limit) for street vendors. 

👷Social Security for Gig Workers - 1 crore platform workers to get e-Shram ID cards & PM-JAY health coverage.


5. Healthcare & Medical Infrastructure

Objective: Expand affordable healthcare access.

Key Features:

🩺200 Day Care Cancer Centres to be built in district hospitals.

🏥Strengthening AYUSH infrastructure & integration with modern medicine.


B. Investing in the Economy

1. Infrastructure & Public-Private Partnerships (PPP)

Objective: Boost capital investment & economic activity.

Key Features:

🏗 PPP Pipeline - Ministries to launch 3-year infrastructure investment roadmaps.

🏛 ₹1.5 lakh crore interest-free loans to states for capital expenditure.

🏢Asset Monetization Plan (₹10 lakh crore) for reinvestment into new projects.


2. Energy & Power Sector Reforms

Objective: Strengthen energy security & clean energy transition.

Key Features:

Electricity Distribution Reforms - States can borrow 0.5% additional GSDP for efficiency improvements.

Nuclear Energy Mission (100 GW target by 2047) - SMR (Small Modular Reactor) R&D with ₹20,000 crore funding.

Solar, Wind & Grid Battery Manufacturing incentives for energy transition.


3. Transport & Aviation Development

Objective: Enhance regional connectivity & logistics efficiency

Key Features

UDAN Scheme Expansion - 120 new airports & 4 crore passengers in 10 years. 

🏗 Greenfield Airports in Bihar - New aviation hubs in Patna & Bihta.

🚢Shipbuilding Financial Assistance Policy Revamp - Encouraging Indian shipbuilding & shipbreaking.


4. Affordable Housing & Real Estate Development

Objective: Ensure housing for all & complete pending projects

Key Features:

🏠SWAMIH Fund 2 (₹15,000 crore) - Completion of 1 lakh stalled housing units.

🏗 Incentives for affordable rental housing & urban redevelopment.


5. Rural & Agricultural Investment

Objective: Increase rural infrastructure & farmer income

Key Features:

🌾Western Koshi Canal Project (Bihar) - Irrigation boost for 50,000 hectares of farmland. 

🚰Jal Jeevan Mission Extension (Till 2028) - 100% tap water coverage in rural areas.


6. Tourism & Employment Generation

Objective: Develop tourism as an economic driver.

Key Features

🏝Top 50 Tourist Destinations - Investment via challenge-mode with states.

🛏 MUDRA Loans for Homestays - Boosting small-scale tourism entrepreneurs. 

🚀Medical Tourism ("Heal in India") - International healthcare investments & visa simplification.


C. Investing in Innovation

1. Research & Development (R&D) & Deep Tech

Objective: Strengthen India’s research ecosystem & startups.

Key Features

🧪 ₹20,000 crore allocation for private-sector R&D initiatives. 

🚀 Deep Tech Fund of Funds - Support for AI, quantum computing, & space tech startups.


2. Higher Education & Knowledge Economy

Objective: Promote innovation & traditional knowledge conservation.

Key Features

🎓 10,000 PM Research Fellowships in IITs & IISc with higher funding

🌱 2nd Gene Bank (10 lakh germplasm lines) - Food & nutritional security research. 

🗺 National Geospatial Mission - Land records modernization & urban planning. 

📜 Gyan Bharatam Mission - Digitization & conservation of 1 crore manuscripts.


3. Digital Economy & Financial Reforms

Objective: Accelerate financial inclusion & fintech growth.

Key Features:

💳 Grameen Credit Score - New rural credit rating system by PSBs for SHG members. 

🏦 Expansion of India Post Payment Bank - Strengthening digital & rural ban
