An important cultural project, the Gyan Bharatam Mission Union Budget 2025-26 was announced with the goal of surveying, documenting, conserving, and digitizing more than one crore (10 million) manuscripts throughout India. The goal of this mission is to conserve India’s extensive manuscript legacy, which includes works on philosophy, science, medicine, art, and other subjects. Some of these manuscripts are over 75 years old and were created using materials like cloth, birch bark, and palm leaves.
